Venomous snakes in guanajuato

The Gila monster and the Mexican spotted lizard are two types of venomous lizards found in North America. These large, burly lizards have short, thick limbs. They live in the desert regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

Venomous lizards do not usually bite unless handled. Lizards bite with teeth rather than fangs. Venom enters the bite by dripping through grooves in the teeth rather than being injected through fangs, as is the case with venomous snakes. Lizards tend to cling to their victims, making it difficult to remove them once they have bitten. Dry bites, in which no venom is released, can occur. But lizard bites are less likely to be dry than snake bites.
